Vote
Make your plan for November 3
Pennsylvania gives you three ways to vote. Pick one, put the date on your calendar, and you're done.
01
Deadline: Mon, Oct 19
Register, or check that you are
You can register or update your address online in a few minutes. If you've moved within the township, changed your name, or haven't voted in a while, check your status before the deadline.
Registered Republican? Pennsylvania has closed primaries. Only registered Republicans pick Republican nominees in the spring, so your party registration matters well beyond November.
02
Apply by 5pm, Tue, Oct 27
Vote early by mail
Any registered Pennsylvania voter can vote by mail. No excuse needed. Apply online, fill out your ballot at home, and return it.
- Seal your ballot in the inner secrecy envelope, then the outer return envelope.
- Sign and date the outer envelope. Unsigned or undated envelopes can be rejected.
- Your ballot must reach the county by 8pm on Election Day. A postmark isn't enough, so mail it early or drop it off.
- You can also apply and vote in a single trip at the county election office before the deadline.
03
Tue, Nov 3, 7am to 8pm
Vote in person on Election Day
Lower Providence has several voting districts, each with its own polling place. Look yours up ahead of time, especially if you've moved.
- If you're in line by 8pm, you can vote.
- Voting at your polling place for the first time? Bring ID. A driver's license, a utility bill or a bank statement with your address all work.
- Requested a mail ballot but didn't send it? Bring the ballot and both envelopes so poll workers can void it.
