What the township is deciding, in plain English

Budgets, zoning and development get decided at public meetings most residents never see. We read the agendas so you don't have to, and tell you what it means for your taxes and your property.

Our standard

Facts first, then what we think

Every update starts with what actually happened: the vote, the dollar amount, the ordinance number, with a link to the source. Our take comes after, clearly labeled, and it always comes back to the same questions. What does it cost? Who pays? Does it respect what residents own? Who decided?

Where decisions get made

Taxes & spending

Board of Supervisors

Sets the township budget and tax rate, passes ordinances, and approves major contracts. The budget for the coming year is adopted each December.

Development

Planning Commission

Reviews subdivision and land development plans before they reach the Supervisors. This is where you can shape a project, not just react to it.

Your property

Zoning Hearing Board

Rules on variances and appeals. Decisions here set precedents for what you and your neighbors can build.
