Welcome to the Lower Providence Township
Republican Committee website!

Jim Van Horn - Chairman

A Message from our Chairman:

Dear Fellow Republicans,

Chairman’s Message:

We all need to take the time to vote on Tue., Nov. 8th. Low voter turnout continues to be an issue and in fact contributed to the results of the last Presidential election in 2012. As simple as it sounds and as repetitive as it maybe, we need to reinforce the fundamental principle that a free society is based upon everyone’s right and obligation to vote. When we choose not to vote, we are passing that vote on to the citizens who do. More often than not, elected officials are voted into office by a minority of eligible voters.

This 2016 Election Campaign has been very negative but do not let that get in the way of your most basic right as a citizen.

Please review the enclosed information on the Republican Endorsed Candidates as well as the sample Ballot. Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8th is facing us now.

Thank you,

Chairman, Lower Providence Republican Committee

CANDIDATE INFORMATION:

U.S. Congressman: Ryan Costello

Ryan Costello is completing his first term as our Congressman in Washington and has been part of a strong Republican majority that is working hard to stop the Obama agenda, protect Pennsylvania taxpayers and make the U.S. Congress work more effectively.

Ryan was raised in Chester County and has close ties to Lower Providence. He is a graduate of Owen J. Roberts H.S., Ursinus College and Villanova Law School. Many of us knew Ryan’s father, Tony Costello, who was a well-respected Methacton H.S. Principal and later the Assistant Superintendent.

Pa. State Representative: Michael Corr

Michael Corr is our endorsed candidate from the 150th District for State Representative in Harrisburg. Michael is a graduate of Archbishop Carroll H.S., University of Notre Dame and Widener and Villanova Law Schools.

As a devoted husband and father of three young children, Michael will work on legislation that will keep our families and communities safe. He will work hard to restore a business-friendly environment in Pa. He will continue to improve our roads.

As a father and taxpayer, Michael is concerned about the quality of our schools. He will drive and support increased quality and accountability in our schools. At the same time, Michael is very aware and dedicated to reducing the Property Tax burden at our local level.

Mike Vereb, our current State Representative, has decided not to re-run for office. He has endorsed Michael Corr as his successor.

Michael Corr for State Representative information can be found here: http://www.lpgop.com/meet-the-candidates.html

PA Attorney General: John Rafferty

John Rafferty, a native and long time resident of Audubon requires no introduction! He is currently serving in his fourth term in the Pa. Senate and will bring absolute integrity and hard-work to the office of Attorney General. (As you know the most recent elected Attorney General Kane has been prosecuted and sentenced. The office has been a disaster.) This office has suffered greatly under Kane’s leadership. Known and respected by all of us, Senator Rafferty is committed to restoring respect and dignity to the office. His years of community service is unmatched by the other candidates. His most recent leadership in gaining state-wide support for improving our roads and bridges is visible to all of us. As an attorney, John has had previous experience in the Attorney General’s office. John’s opponent has no experience in the Attorney General’s office. John Rafferty has all tools to get the Attorney General’s office back on course.

Please vote for John Rafferty for Pa. Attorney General.  More information can be found here: http://www.lpgop.com/meet-the-candidates.html
